We use NinjaOne as our primary patch compliance software. With NinjaOne, we are able to set different policies based on the Device or VM. We currently have 30+ VMs and 100-150 End user devices that NinjaOne manages patches for us. We also use the built-in ability to remote into those systems as needed. This makes life a lot easier for helpdesk to triage issues for our end users and our higher-level techs to fix any server issues or run maintenance. The dashboard gives you an at a glance view to see any potential issues with your environment. There are built in tools to help you automate tasks or run maintenance via the portals built in "CMD"like tool. We currently use splash top but I believe there are at least 2 other options for remoting into machines.

It is well suited if you want to easily manage your patching for your end points and servers. The remote function is easy and works well. There are more tools in NinjaOne that I have jet to take advantage of like NMS policies, VMware alerts, and other tasks. It is not well suited with its ticketing system. I gave this a try but was lacking functionality that I really need out of my ticketing system. The reporting was or is missing certain KPI data.

  • Time savings by not having to walk to each device to triage
  • Time savings in automating patching
  • Time savings in narrowing down issues
NinjaOne has made a major impact in our ability to manage all of our devices across our 2 sites. We have tried other RMM's in the past, but NinjaOne has been by far the most useful and we do not use everything it has to offer yet. We plan on expanding on the automation further to increase our efficiencies.
By ensuring our important security and critical patches are done for all our devices be it end-user or server. NinjaOne makes it easy to set the policy and walk away knowing that the policy will enforce. If there are any issues, they are displayed on the dashboard for quick triage.
I have yet to automate anything on my own but have used the built in scripts to automate weekly maintenance. The maintenance consists of alerts to reboot the end user computer once a week. weekly script maintenance that clear temp files, flushes DNS, and other quick and easy items to be pro-active.
So far NinjaOne has been more stable to use vs the items listed above. It has been easier to setup and go. Easy to setup end user equipment with a quick setup file that an end user can run if you asked them to. The portal is quick to update and quick to allow you to start managing new devices.

We have around 170 end users with machines and their functions vary across the multiple departments at the company. From Administrative positions to shipping at the end of our process to ship out our goods. NinjaOne is used for all these folks to ensure their machines are running properly and so we are pro-active with maintenance.
3
3 users in IT use this software to manage 230 employees across our two sites in 2 different states. These users are administrators and use it to help triage issues. The users job functions represent helpdesk, Network Engineer, and IT Manager

I have not had any real issues with NinjaOne and as long as it keeps doing what it is meant to do, I do not plan on looking elsewhere. I need software to be stable and NinjaOne is stable.

We are a Managed Service Provider and as such, we have many different clients in many different verticals with computer systems that we manage for them. NinjaOne allows us to leverage remote access tools, scheduled tasks, automations, alerting, patching, and anti-virus within one seamless portal. My engineers are able to save valuable time and not spend forever trying to connect to a client's system.
  • Remote connections: the NinjaRemote client is spectacular and very easy to use and navigate. It quickly connects to customer systems so my engineers are able to work. As a bonus, they also offer a really good mobile app to connect to client systems.
  • Antivirus: Bitdefender Endpoint Protection is built directly into the NinjaOne portal. This makes deploying and maintaining AV very easy.
  • OS Patching: NinjaOne makes it very easy to handle patching across multiple clients and locations. It is very easy to use and doesn't take long to set up.
  • Support: NinjaOne support is always very prompt and helpful.
  • Documentation: the NinjaOne Dojo is a one-stop shop for all of your FAQs, guides, and forum needs. You can find almost anything here to help you deploy and maintain NinjaOne.
  • Automation Library: NinjaOne comes preloaded with a large number of ready-to-go automations. They also provide you with a scripting module to create your own.
  • Reporting: has been a bit lackluster in the past but they just rolled out a new reporting module so it may have improved.
  • Dark Mode: this has been one of the most requested features on the roadmap. It needs to happen. Soon.
I have already recommended NinjaOne to multiple clients and will continue to do so. I have used DattoRMM, Kaseya, and Connectwise in the past and I personally feel that none of them are even in the same league as NinjaOne. If you have an IT environment that you need more insight on, NinjaOne is the way.

  • NinjaOne is a monthly payment with no commitment, this is much better suited to an MSP than other competitors that try to wrap you up into a 3-5-year contract. As an MSP, we could lose a client at any moment and it sucks to be stuck in a contract where we can't lower our agent counts.
  • NinjaOne helps my techs be more efficient and productive. Saving time and money.
Automation, automation, automation. NinjaOne allows my engineers to schedule automations based on policies. Computer hard drive filling up, autorun disk cleanup, DHCP out IPs, send a ticket to our ticketing system, end-users keep declining the patch reboot notices, auto reboot on schedule. We haven't even scratched the surface of what NinjaOne can do and already we have saved so much time and money.
NinjaOne allows us to easily run reports that show us patch levels, AV status, software versions, etc. This makes it very easy for technicians to stay on top of keeping our clients current and safe from threats.
We have automated disk cleanups when storage is low, auto-patching, auto AV scans, software installs, etc. We have written custom scripts that are easily scheduled and deployed leveraging NinjaOne. We are able to create groups and deploy scheduled automations easily and quickly.
NinjaOne feels like it is way beyond its competitors. Their UI is fantastic, with the exception of no Dark Mode. It is very responsive and easy to navigate. Also, NinjaOne bills monthly with no contract commitment. This makes it much more accessible to smaller and medium-sized businesses that might not want to sign a 3-5-year contract.

NinjaOne has a great platform which has enabled our organization to streamline operations and achieve many objectives with a single platform. I have been impressed with both the wealth of features coupled with the ease of use. While evaluating products I had narrowed it down to NinjaOne and another competitor. The competing product may have been slightly more powerful, however the UI was much more convoluted and it seemed much more difficult to do simple processes. On top of that the Ninja team is very in-tune with its user base and works with its community in implementing new features and sharing their roadmap. With previous solutions I felt like once we purchased the product their team was done with us. With NinjaOne I think the opposite is true, once I joined the NinjaOne community their was even more communication and constant input, sharing of ideas, and sharing of script/automations between both the NinjaOne team and its community. I always try to keep an eye of new products that are out there, however I have not see anything that has all the features NinjaOne does. I am currently using NinjaOne for endpoint management, remote access with SplashTop, their bundled EDR solution and their built in ticketing system, backup system, and patch management.
  • Endpoint management
  • Automation
  • Remote Endpoint Access
  • Ticketing
  • Support for mobile devices
  • Better NMS monitoring
  • Better integration of EDR software
NinjaOne is a great solution for an all-in-one software suite that will accomplish many goals in a single pain of glass. It is very beneficial for small IT teams that need to automate and jobs as much as possible.

Patch management solution may not be the best if you have a large 3rd party software library.

  • Allowed us to remove monitoring service from MSP which saved us over $2k per month
  • Has cut down on service tickets and man hours tracking down and diagnosing problems
  • Has upped productivity of end-users by reducing downtime.
NinjaOne has allowed better visibility into our environment when it comes to patch management. It has allowed us to implement automation's to automatically alleviate common issues such as print spooler freezing and has allowed support to easily diagnose and fix issues without having to physically go to each endpoint.
We use NinjaOne to ensure all devices are up to date with security patches. We also run weekly security reports that show the state of our EDR and AntiMalware systems on each endpoint. We also receive reports from NinjaOne regarding the Bitlocker status of each endpoint as well as having NinjaOne store Bitlocker keys.
We have automated restarting of the print spooler when it crashes. We have automated restarting of computers at pre-defined times, with the ability for users to delay the restart an hour up to 3 times. We have automated software installs based on the user group of the computer. We have automated removal of bloatware.
NinjaOne has more overall features than these competitors bundled in their package. Both of these other products have separate add-ons that will accomplish the additional features that NinjaOne bundles in. While it seems that both may be slightly more powerful when it comes to the overall RMM software, NinjaOne has a much cleaner UI and makes it much easier to work in. NinjaOne also seems to always be growing and implementing solutions that customer ask for, without any additional up-charges. These competitors seem to have their finished product and additional add-ons like ticketing are completely separate offerings that are both separate charges and a completely different product all together.
Yes
We previously utilized a monitoring service provided by an MSP. The MSP utilized N-able RMM software. We replaced them in order to bring things in house to allow faster service to end-users and a way to cut down on costs.
  • Cloud Solutions
  • Ease of Use
The ease of use and broad feature set was one of the biggest factors when it came to my decision. The direct competition before choosing NinjaOne felt slightly more powerful, but the UI was not intuitive at all and even simple daily processes seemed to take way to many clicks and require navigation through many different screens and portals.
I am very happy with how the evaluation process went, I would not change anything.

We use NinjaRMM as a solution for our antivirus, patch management and remote support / assistance. We us it throughout the entire company and it is wonderful. We also use it as a means to have a few users remote into another PC for specific software access. Replacement for VPN. Very successful.
  • Update and upgrade regularly - constantly improving.
  • Great interface.
  • Customer service and support are top notch.
  • Wish I could get support for Apple and Android devices too.
I really don't find anything wrong with NinjaRMM. Getting a quote and working with sales was great. Getting the software loaded and working went just fine. Users don't complain and everything works. Support is great and customer service rep keeps tabs on me to be sure everything is going smoothly and answer any questions that come up and share new features.
  • Allowed us to consolidate many softwares into one.
  • Central admin console that is easy t use.
  • Helps me keep working efficiently when supporting the whole company.
NinjaRMM was easier to work with, better on price, and had less complicated software. Install was simple and use is a breeze. All the other vendors cost more and didn't have everything I wanted all in one place. Also, I like to support local companies when possible or at least work with companies in the same time zone, which they are both.

NinjaRMM is used within our technical services department. It is our RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) tool for all our managed service provider customers. It takes care of alerting on down devices and also gives us the ability to patch all our monitored systems. We also use it to provide scripting functionality and in some cases application pushing.
  • Ninja does a nice job on providing robust monitoring of network servers. It provides peace of mind with monitoring of clients server infrastructure.
  • Ninja's interface is simple yet clean. It makes navigating and getting where you need to be easy.
  • Ninja's staff is always willing to help and their support is top-notch! They work hard to address any issues quickly and efficiently.
  • We've had some issues with Ninja's patching engine, this may be a combination of changes in Microsoft's patching structure and Ninja's implementation.
  • Ninja's reporting is a little less robust than other products. Having more information available to provide Customers would make QBR's more valuable and easier.
  • Ninja's policy setup is based on a hierarchical approach. We would like to see more granularity in the ability to assign polices and the ability to assign multiple policies on devices.
Ninja is an affordable, fairly straightforward RMM that I feel is a good fit for smaller implementations. As your client base grows and the diversity of client needs grow you can start to see some of the limitations that Ninja has. Ninja's cloud based implementation is stable but they have been a little slow on the updates promised. We used to work more closely with them but we continued to see feature creep on items that weren't really important to us. The items we felt were important kept getting pushed back in the time-line with really no end in sight. Ultimately this is what pushed us to move onto a different platform.

  • Ninja is a much better RMM than we previously used, it did increase our efficiency, just not as much as I had hoped.
  • Ninja gave us a foundation to build our MSP business, at this point we've outgrown it but it did provide a solid foundation to start with.
  • Ninja's patch issues has caused us to spend many additional hours manually checking clients for patch updates, this is severely cut down on efficiencies
Ninja's interface is clean and simple. Overall usability from an interface perspective is good. Some items, policies and scripting for instance, are a bit cumbersome and it's really not clear how to implement with a best practice mind-site. Ninja RMM got the job done for us but as we pushed our needs more into automation and efficiency we felt it wasn't keeping up with our speed of growth. There is definitely usability in the product, and it will get the job done, but there are other RMM's out there that fit better in our business.
Ninja support has always been top notch. They have always been responsive and efficient both in troubleshooting issues or talking to me at a high-level about on-going improvements or needed changes. Both sales and Technical support has been good and I've been very pleased with the Customer service we have received from Ninja
We are currently in the middle of a migration from NinjaRMM to DattoRMM. We felt that DattoRMM provides more granular control over policies, better patch management and better device monitoring (Specifically Network/storage devices via custom SNMP). As I mentioned before in my review, NinjaRMM is a good product, a very viable RMM solution, however we felt that it no longer met the needs for our company. I would recommend NinjaRMM to anyone but as with any RMM it's important that you really analyze the features that are going to be fundamentally important to you.
